2ds agoPizzerias across Long Island are coming together tomorrow to raise money for the family of fallen NYPD Detective Jonathan Diller.
More than 200 pizzerias are taking part in a Long Island Pizza Strong fundraiser that will donate money to the Diller family and also the Silver Shield Foundation, Beyond the Badge NY and Project Thank a Cop.
A total of $5 from every pizza sold tomorrow at the participating restaurants will go to the cause. Last fall, Long Island Pizza Strong held a fundraiser for the victims and families of the Farmingdale band bus crash. It raised $100,000 for them.
