Several Army servicemembers were reunited with their puppies that they rescued while stationed overseas in Eastern Europe.
"I can't believe she is here," says Jared Bertagnolli, of the United States Army.
Thursday's reunion took place at the Paws of War headquarters in Nesconset, Suffolk County.
"She was my companion on the base. She kept my mind occupied while I was there," explains Army servicemen Troy Koenig.
Paws of War is working to get 18 more abandoned dogs overseas sent to the United States, so that they can be adopted by servicemen and women.
