With Women's History Month starting soon, News 12 is exploring the Center for Women's History at the New York Historical Society.
In the heart of the Upper West Side sits New York's first museum. Founded in 1804, the New York Historical Society takes families back in time.
While there's something for everyone, one of the curators for the Center for Women's History says it's dedicated to including women in the American story.
The fourth floor's halls are lined with touch-screen exhibits that focus on women's activism and self-representation in New York.
Visit the Permanent Tiffany Lamp Exhibit, where families can actually design their own Tiffany lamp.
The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday. It takes about an hour to enjoy the Center for Women's History.
