Nassau University Medical Center and NuHealth’s breast cancer screening van made a stop Thursday at the Plainview-Old Bethpage Library.
Asymptomatic women over the age of 40 were able to receive mammograms.
Health officials say the goal of the event is to make breast cancer screenings more accessible.
The screening event is held twice a year. The next is scheduled to take place in November.
