The Metropolitan Transportation Authority is looking to make buses safer with its new security monitor screen pilot plan.
According to the agency, over 100 buses across the city will soon have new high-definition LCD screens installed near the entry stairwell on a bus. The videos are said to continuously stream live video feeds.
MTA officials say those buses will be sent to routes that have the highest rates of assaults and other misdemeanors to capture the incidents.
