Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone gave his Thursday COVID-19 update, where hospitalizations dropped slightly, and new cases stayed under 50.
Briefing Notes:
- Second movie for Suffolk drive-in series is coming Weds. June 24 - 'The Goonies'. 'Raiders of the Lost Ark,' 'Elf,' and 'Harry Potter' will be shown in the future.
- Bellone says he does not plan to stop his daily press briefings, despite Gov. Cuomo's plans to stop his after Friday.
- 40 new COVID-19 cases, 40,810 total.
- 17,269 total antibody positive tests.
- 'We seem to have leveled off here' - decrease of 4 hospitalizations, to a total of 125.
- Death toll rises by 3 to 1,961.
- ICU bed patients remain at 35, no change.
- 15 COVID-19 patient discharges.
