A good Samaritan is helping out during the coronavirus pandemic by delivering meals for Food Rescue U.S.
Adam Alam, from Fairfield, says he began delivering after watching a News 12 story a few weeks ago. He says he's now driving as much as he can due to the Food Rescue app.
He delivered dozens of meals to Danbury's emergency homeless shelter Wednesday.
Alam says he was able to hand-deliver the meals due to a partnership with Cooking Up Hope, a community kitchen that supplies the less fortunate in Fairfield County with 250 meals a day.
Food Rescue U.S. says if you cannot become a driver for it, it is always looking for donations.
