Connecticut Secretary of the State Denise Merrill is calling on candidates still on the presidential primary ballot to drop out of the race following Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign suspension.
Merrill’s request is so that primary doesn’t have to be held.
In order to do that, Merrill’s office says all remaining candidates must request to be removed in writing.
At this point, the lone holdout appears to be Republican Rocky de la Fuente.
Fuente has resisted calls to drop out so far.
