The Passaic Police Department honored those on the frontline this morning, and spread some much-needed joy by giving flowers to the hospital staff.

Sgt. Claudia Aguirre-Cruz came up with the idea to bring flowers to the doctors and nurses at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic.
Sgt. Aguirre-Cruz says there was too much sadness in Passaic, so this morning’s flower delivery was named “Operation Spread some love."

Passaic County has nearly 3,800 cases of the coronavirus, and the city of Passaic has a good chunk of them. With only one hospital in the city, you can imagine how stressed the doctors and nurses on the frontlines are.
