Latimer: COVID-19 cases could reach its peak in 1-4 weeks

He released updated numbers and information during a Thursday afternoon news conference.
Latimer said that Westchester County parks are open, including golf courses, nature centers and open plaza areas.  Latimer asked community members to voluntarily practice social distancing when at county parks.

The county executive said he has submitted legislation to extend county tax deadlines for those financially impacted by COVID-19.
Latimer said that two-thirds of the number of positive cases in Westchester could not be categorized into a specific community because numbers are still evolving.
Based on 11,567 positive cases in Westchester, 7,200 of them are presently uncategorized, according to the county executive.
He said 4,500 of the cases can be tracked through municipalities.
Cases:

New Rochelle: 527
Mt Vernon: 428
Greenburgh: 417
White Plains: 266
Ossining: 220
Port Chester:  190
Cortland: 182
Yorktown: 136
Peekskill: 109
Latimer said 344 residents are hospitalized currently with COVID-19 issues.  He said that number represents 3% of hospitalizations.
