Unemployment claims have skyrocketed, but some business are still hiring.

Westchester based PepsiCo announced it will hire 6,000 full-time, full benefits "frontline" employees over the next few months.

Grocery stores that are being overwhelmed with shoppers are also hiring.

Stop & Shop says it is looking to hire 5,000 part-time workers for stores and distribution centers across the Northeast.

CVS is also bringing in more manpower, and Walgreens is hiring 9,500 positions from full time to temporary.

An Ossining-based global corporate training company is hiring.

"Overnight it ramped up. We went from doing three or four webinars to hundreds of webinars at the same time,” says Wendy Wollner, CEO of Balancing Live’s Issues, Inc.

Wollner says she's looking to hire more than a dozen trainers for remote freelance positions within her company, which is all online and in high demand.

"We have entire seminars about sleep, eating healthy, exercise, stress management, mindfulness," she says.

A new jobless claim report from US Weekly will be released on Thursday. It is expected to be a record-shattering unemployment rate. Analysts estimate between 3 million and 5 million people applied for unemployment benefits in a single week.
