Massive 2-alarm fire in Crown Heights displaces family

A massive fire inside a two-story building in Crown Heights has displaced a family of four.
The FDNY tells News 12 that it received a call a little before noon at Schenectady Avenue and Dean Street.
The FDNY says the flames were coming from the first floor of the building when firefighters arrived.
The building is located right above JS Deli Grocery, which sustained extensive damage as a result of the fire.
The family on the second floor consists of a pregnant woman with her mother, daughter and brother.
They say they were asleep when it all started and that the smoke is what alerted them to what was happening.
News 12 is told the deli was open and that there were people inside when it started. The FDNY reported one injury that did not appear to be life-threatening.
The family is getting help from the Red Cross. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
