'This is a dire situation': Nassau Executive Laura Curran gives coronavirus update

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran is giving an update on the coronavirus outbreak.

BRIEFING NOTES: 
-There are 5,537 cases of coronavirus in Nassau County, with seven new deaths. 
-There are now 906 virus-related hospitilizations, and 185 are currently in critical condition on ventilators.
Curran adds that a member of the department of social services in Nassau passed away from the virus. 

-Curran is urging people who are mildly symptomatic to stay home and call their health care provider.
-There are 55 positive cases in Nassau Police Department; 10 in county sheriff's department, Curran says. 
-3 inmates tested postiive in county jail, are in isolation.
-Curran says the immediate need is to acquire ventilators. "This is a dire situation," she said.
