Man sprayed with pepper spray, thrown to the ground during altercation in Borough Park

Police in Borough Park are searching for a man who sprayed another man in the face and shoved him to the ground.
Police say it was some sort of pepper spray substance that he was sprayed in the face with before he was pushed into a roll down gate.
The attack, captured on surveillance cameras, happened Wednesday around 9:30 a.m. in front of 5010 16th Ave.
The video shows the 33-year-old victim standing there and another person come up and shove him into the gate. Police say a bystander tried to get involved, but the suspect pulled out an expandable baton and swung it toward him.
Police say the suspect then got into a white SUV and drove off.
News 12 is told it’s not clear what the conversation may have been prior to the attack.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for lacerations to his face.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
