Essen Health Care streamlining COVID-19 pre-screening process for patients

Essen Health Care is streamlining the process for patients to get pre-screened for the coronavirus, and any other health concerns they may have.
After answering questions either by phone or online, the patient will get an appointment to come in for testing. If they qualify, there is a site in the Bronx, but they are not revealing it because it’s not open to the public.
"For the patients that do require testing, everything is done via this telemedicine and pre-screening format, so by the time they come in, they're already pre-registered and ready to go just for testing,” said Dr. Silvio Goris.

You must be pre-screened first and then they will be notified to go to the mobile testing site.
"We do see it as a central part of patient care. It definitely opens the door to allow us to provide more services to our patients,” said Goris.
Once you are physically at the mobile site, they say the process takes less than five minutes and that in three days, telemedicine service is offered to get results and to speak with a doctor for any follow-up questions.
The founder, Dr. Sumir Sahgal, believes this is going to drastically change how the healthcare system operates in the future.
"Once this pandemic is over, there will be a new world where healthcare will probably not be the same. We will be practicing in a very different way. I hope it will be better, but we will be there to guide the healthcare system through it,” said Dr. Sahgal.
