Fairfield Police Department supports local restaurants during coronavirus outbreak

Fairfield police are helping local restaurants by ordering food one lunch at a time during the coronavirus outbreak.
Fairfield police launched a social media campaign called "Law and Order to Go," which highlights police ordering lunch for curbside pickup from their favorite Fairfield restaurants.

Capt. Robert Kalamaras says with local businesses struggling, the campaign is a great way to encourage the community to show it's support while also promoting social distancing.
"This is unprecedented time that we've never seen before and I think it's gonna take a village. Not to sound cliche but it's gonna take a village to do this. And [in] order to do that, it's gonna be a community supporting each other, and we'll all get through this together," Kalamaras says.
Police also say the Chamber of Commerce has posted a list of all the Fairfield restaurants where you can still order for curbside pickup.
