Police: Pair steals $140,000 worth of items from Coney Island storage facility

Police are searching for the people responsible for breaking into a storage facility in Coney Island and stealing thousands of dollars worth of items.
Investigators say they broke into multiple units and stole more than $140,00 worth of items at the CubeSmart Self Storage facility on Shell Road.
It happened on Feb. 21 just after 9 p.m. Police say they got in through an unlocked front gate.
Police say two people pulled up in a pickup truck and walked into the facility and down the hallway. A short time later, surveillance video shows the suspects walking out with several bags and other items.
It appears they made multiple trips before putting everything in the back of the truck and taking off.
Customers tell News 12 they found out the next day on social media and were confused as to what happened. Police say the items stolen range from antiques to jewelry, baseball cards and tools.
A total of 33 victims reported either damaged or stolen property.
