The results are in, and one sandwich shop in Park Slope is once again being called one of the best places in the borough to eat.
Many customers say Prospect Provisions is one of the best places to eat in Brooklyn.
The park slope sandwich shop is taking the top spot in the first week of News 12’s Food Fight.

"Delicious, everything is delicious. And their service and the warmth, and the way that they welcome here and that also keeps bringing me back,” says customer Julie Glemaude.

Since opening about a year and a half ago, the shop, which names its items after different locations across the borough, continues to make a hit when it comes to its signature sandwich, the Flatbush Avenue.

"It's chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, bacon, lettuce, tomato, garlic, aioli on an everything brioche roll. The roll is proprietary to us; the bakery makes it just for us,” says owner Mark Mellinger.

Mellinger says the shop is still growing, adding dinner plates like this braised short rib with brussels sprouts to the menu.

"We're not quite there on success yet, but the way we just try to get a little bit better every day; and we try to do our best and we take the food and the hospitality very seriously,” says Mellinger.
