NYC Dept. of Health: 2 people being tested for coronavirus in city

The New York City Department of Health says two people are under investigation for the novel coronavirus in New York City.
The department shared the update in a tweet Sunday shortly after noon, adding that one other test that was performed came back negative.
The department says testing for the virus, officially named COVID-19, is now being performed by the New York state Department of Health, which it says should lead to faster results.
As News 12 has reported, the viral outbreak that began in China has infected more than 87,000 people globally and caused nearly 3,000 deaths. The U.S. has seen 72 cases so far, and one death that was reported yesterday in Washington state.
The number of countries hit by the coronavirus climbed past 60 Sunday, and infections and deaths continued to mount around the globe, shaking economies. Concerns about the virus sent stocks sharply lower on Wall Street last week.
