NYPD: 51-year-old left seriously injured after argument turns violent in Soundview

A man was left with serious injuries after being attacked in Soundview, police say.

NYPD released images of the man they believe is responsible for the assault that happened on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.

News 12 is told a 51-year-old man was standing in front of a building on Stratford Avenue when an argument sparked between him and another individual. Officials say the suspect then punched and kicked the victim repeatedly in the head.

Authorities say the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police have not confirmed his condition.

A motive for the attack is under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
