Bridgeport family asks public for funeral cost help after fatal Valentine’s Day shooting

A Bridgeport family is asking for help after a deadly shooting on Valentine’s Day.
Nearly one week has passed since 57-year-old Philip Ingram was shot and killed.
His family is now trying to raise necessary funds for the funeral costs. They say they need to raise money by Monday so they can give Ingram a proper burial.
Ingram was shot on Kossuth Street moments after he called 911 about an argument with another man nearby on Arctic Street.
Police say before they arrived, that man pulled a gun on him.
Ingram’s family says he was a generous man who was always looking out for others. He was a chef who cooked at a community kitchen. They hope Bridgeport residents will now give back to him.
This incident marked the city’s third fatal shooting this year.
