WE CARE children’s festival treats under-served kids to entertainment, food and more

Hundreds of under-served children in Nassau were treated to a number of activities Wednesday at the 32nd Annual WE CARE children's festival in Garden City.
The kids were treated to games, face-painting and even special guests like Mr. Met and QuackerJack from the Long Island Ducks. The event was hosted by the Nassau County Bar Association.
"We feed them, we provide them entertainment, we have mascots, Mr. Met and QuackerJack are here and the kids just have a great time,” said event organizer Peter Levy. "Lawyers are part of the community and this is one of the things we do to enhance the community, to enhance life in Nassau County."
The event brought smiles to more than 220 under-served children ages six to 12 from local social service agencies.
