A 12-year-old boy from Hartford got the surprise of a lifetime while at the WWE building in Stamford.
Izzy Rodriguez was told he was there to tour the WWE studios, but professional wrestler Roman Reigns then told him via satellite that he would be going to WrestleMania in Tampa, Florida. It was all made possible through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Izzy’s mother says her son has been battling the disease since last July. He is in remission but still going through chemotherapy and waiting for more positive news.
Reigns has a personal experience with the disease and announced he was in remission from his fight with leukemia a little less than a year ago.
Make-A-Wish grants critically ill children a wish, and the organization says that the WWE is its biggest corporate partner.
