City Island photo exhibit showcases love of nautical life

There is a new photography exhibit that captures the nautical life of City Island.
Photographer Ben Zucker depicts the scenic views and the everyday life of people on the water.
About 30 color and black and white photos make up the new public installation called "The Water," which is now showcased on the walls of the Clipper Coffee shop.
Many of the photos were shot right on City Island and the nautical exhibit took about seven years to shoot, compile and document.

Zucker, who grew up around lakes and sailing, says his work depicts various aspects for the love of the sea.
He told News 12 that showing his art at Clipper Coffee, which has been showcasing various art exhibitions from local artists for over a year, is a great way for people to get familiar with his work.
“There’s so much foot traffic in and out,” Zucker said. “You get different people seeing it."
Zucker's installation will be on display at the coffee shop through March 8.
