New Milford police warn of 'grandparents scam'

Police in New Milford are warning people about what they're calling the "grandparents scam."

They say seniors are getting calls from people claiming their grandchildren are in trouble and need money.

The callers demand cash, money transfers or gift cards.

Police are reminding people to never give out personal information over the phone.
