A child was robbed and attacked in Sunset Park last week.

Police tell News 12 an 11-year-old boy was robbed while walking along the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 50 Street last Thursday around 6:40 a.m.

Police say the suspect went up to the boy, grabbed his cellphone and hit him in the head with a cane when the boy tried to chase after him.

The suspect was last seen headed northbound on Fourth Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
