7 Brooklyn restaurants participating in NY Black Restaurant Week

The week highlights African, Haitian, Creole, Soul, Jamaican and West Indian cuisine. The organizer says from Feb. 1-10, it's all about lifting black-owned businesses up.

It is New York Black Restaurant Week, with 12 restaurants getting involved across New York City and Long Island.
The week highlights African, Haitian, Creole, Soul, Jamaican and West Indian cuisine. The organizer says from Feb. 1-10, it's all about lifting black-owned businesses up.
Seven restaurants in Brooklyn are participating: Amarachi, Creme and Coca Creamery, Greedi Vegan, The Crabby Shack, Kombit Restaurant, Caribbean Social and Suede.
The organizer says they're also planning an Irish Restaurant Week for March, hoping to celebrate the diversity of New York.
