Tenants of Melrose Houses say they've had heat, hot water troubles since October

Tenants of the Melrose Houses say they have been experiencing heat and hot water troubles since October and are trying to hold the city accountable.
The Melrose Houses Tenant Association received more than 50 complaints about heat and water.
President Cassandra M. Bowlin says the Tenant Association had a conversation with NYC Housing Associations' deputy director of heat. She says the deputy director was supposed to send a heating team out to the Melrose Houses to handle all of the heating tickets, but problems remain uncorrected.
Many tenants in the building say there is a general feeling of neglect. They say their troubles range far beyond heat and hot water and extends to elevator troubles and garbage cleanup.
