Posted: Updated:

The body of a second worker from a construction accident in Old Brookville has been found.

A wall caved in on two men while they were installing a septic tank in Brookville Tuesday.

Rescuers were able to pull a 45-year-old man out of the rubble Tuesday, but was pounced dead. The body of a 57-year-old man was discovered Wednesday.

Investigators say the men were at the bottom of a 30-foot deep hole installing a septic ring when the walls began to cave in and they were buried by 5 to 7 feet of dirt.

According to police, eight departments responded to the scene of a private residence on Wolver Hollow Road around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Police have not released the identities of the victims. Police say they will be looking into the safety measures that were taken on the job.
