Brooklyn residents celebrate Chinese New Year in Sunset Park

Hundreds of people filled the streets in Sunset Park to celebrate the Chinese New Year on Sunday.
Organizers say the 33rd annual parade is a tradition that brings Chinese culture to the borough.
Attendees also experienced performances, fireworks, music and more.
This year represents the year of the rat, which is the first of the 12 zodiac animals in the Chinese calendar system.
Many people wore masks in hopes of preventing any possible spread of the coronavirus. Those who came out tell News 12 they are not letting concerns of the virus stop them from joining the day's celebrations.
