Police: 2 injured after shooting in Tremont

Two people are recovering in the hospital after a shooting in Tremont Thursday night.
It happened between East 179th Street and East 180th Street.
Police say one of the victims may have been an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire. They say the victims are a 17-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman.
The woman is who police say was not involved in the dispute that led up to the shooting.
Police tell News 12 she was parked inside a car when a bullet struck the windshield. They say it is unclear if the woman was injured by the glass shards or the bullet at this time.
Police say the call came in at around 8 p.m.
Both victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and are expected to be OK.
Neighbors say incidents like these are usual for the block.
No arrests have been made at this time.
