Lots of local races already heating up in our borough, including the fight for the 15th congressional district.
Dr. Christopher Malone, the founding dean of Arts and Sciences at Molloy College shares his thoughts on the candidates. "Ruben Diaz Sr. has a lot of name recognition, he also has a floor under which he can't go and a ceiling over which he can't go in terms of his appeal to voters. he's very well-known but he's a conservative Christian Democrat. Some would call him a Trump-supporting Republican which has happened in this race. So, in a crowded field, he has a hardcore set of supporters that will give him a good opportunity to win the seat."
Tonight, Dr. Malone unveils the other two candidates he puts at the top of the list in that race. Plus his thoughts on the battle for the White House and the three things everyone should be watching for this election season.
Catch Power and Politics tonight at 6 p.m. on News 12.
