Fairfield candidates hit campaign trail ahead of special election for state House seat

Fairfield candidates made the final push to secure votes Sunday in the special election race for the state House seat in the 132nd Assembly District.

Fairfield candidates made their final push to secure votes Sunday in the special election race for the state House seat in the 132nd Assembly District.
The seat was vacated by Republican Brenda Kupchick, who was chosen as Fairfield's first selectwoman.
Republican Brian Farnen and Democrat Jennifer Leeper went door to door to speak with residents.
Farnen has served on the representative town meeting since 2011 and also worked as chief legal counsel for the Connecticut Green Bank.
Leeper has experience with the state's Department of Education, where she worked as a policy and data analyst.
She also has a background as a school administrator in New York City.
