A man visiting the Cape May Zoo earlier this week jumped a fence next to the cheetah enclosure in an effort to “get a closer look,” according to the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office.
They say the cheetahs, Buju and Bernie, “weren’t amused and luckily ignored him.”
The man, who was not named, was not injured. However, he was removed from the park and received citations.
By the way, did you know cheetahs can purr like house cats?
