Police are searching for three suspects in connection to a violent attack inside a Brownsville subway station.
Police say the three suspects, two women and a man, tried to rob then punched and stabbed a man on the subway platform on Dec. 20 around 5 p.m.
Investigators say two women walked up to a 29-year-old man who was inside the Sutter Avenue-Rutland Road subway station and told him to empty his pockets. When he refused and tried to get onto a Manhattan-bound 3 train, police say the two women blocked the doors from closing and another man joined in, punching him and then stabbing him in the back with something.
Police say he was able to get away and was taken to the hospital where he has since been treated and released.
Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the women or the man in the photos to call police.
