A man has been charged with murder in connection to a death at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital in Morris Plains.

Police arrested hospital patient 28-year-old Rashid Davis, who officials say was found in the hallway with blood on his hands.

Staff then located the victim in Davis' room lying on the floor with stab wounds.

A statement by the prosecutor’s office read that the victim died from multiple stab wounds to the neck area.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

Davis remains in custody at this time.
