Police: FBI impersonator steals diamond worth $16,000 in Garden City

A Brooklyn man is accused of impersonating an FBI agent and stealing a diamond in Garden City.

A Brooklyn man is accused of impersonating an FBI agent and stealing a diamond in Garden City.

Police say Michael Morgan tried to buy a diamond with a forged bank check back in October.

According to police, he went to the H.L. Gross & Bros. Jewelers in Garden City to buy a nearly $16,000 loose diamond.

They say Morgan was wearing an FBI jacket and displayed an FBI badge during the transaction.
