Police: West Babylon woman drove drunk with 4-year-old in car

Posted: Updated:

Police say a West Babylon woman is accused of driving drunk with a 4-year-old in the car and striking a pedestrian in Wyandanch Saturday night.

They say Tasena Jennings had been drinking when she hit the pedestrian around 7 p.m., then took off.

Police say they caught up to her about an hour later and arrested her. The pedestrian was treated for minor injuries.

Officials say the child in the car was not injured. Jennings faces drunk driving and child endangerment charges.

She's scheduled to be arraigned Sunday.
