One person was hospitalized when a garbage truck overturned at an intersection in Williamsburg.
It happened around 9 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Havemeyer Street and South Fifth Street
The driver was taken to the hospital with an arm injury. He was in serious condition at Bellevue Hospital Center.
The truck flipped over while on an off-ramp from the Williamsburg Bridge leading into the local streets of Williamsburg.
Traffic wasn't significantly impacted, but there was a major response from FDNY, including its hazmat unit.
It is unclear what caused the garbage truck to flip over. The NYPD is investigating the incident.
