Hundreds of Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in Milford are trading in the comfort of their beds for a late autumn campout that's become a tradition in town, and it's all for a great cause.
Over 300 Scouts along with local schools are taking donations this weekend for the 15th annual Milford Thanks For Giving Food Drive.
The Scouts were packing boxes Friday with all the fixings for those in need to have a better Thanksgiving. The items will feed over 300 Milford families, the largest number the event has ever helped.
The kids will deliver some of the food to local food pantries and shelters Saturday and will be camping out in tents until noon on Sunday.
