A Bridgeport mother claims that her son’s front teeth were knocked out in a bullying incident, but that claim is being disputed by his school.

Tashana Baily, mother to 11-year-old Ethan Noyes, says two male classmates pulled a chair out from under her son in the cafeteria after school while the kids were waiting for a ride home from St. Augustine Academy.

Noyes’ fall resulted in his front teeth being knocked out and a trip to the hospital.

Bailey says the boys' actions were deliberate and she condemns their behavior. The school disagrees strongly, saying in part, "We can find no evidence of bullying in the unfortunate accident.”

The statement also says that “both boys were immediately remorseful” and that their “actions were not deliberately malicious."

However, Baily claims that the school is “trying to de-escalate the situation and sweep it under the rug."

The school says police were called and did not find any evidence of bullying and took no action against the students involved.
