First frost expected to arrive in several New Jersey counties

Many Garden State residents will want to protect their gardens as the first frost of the season is expected to hit.
The frost signals the end of the growing season so those who have plants outdoors should be bringing them inside.
Employees at Rutgers Landscape and Nursery say for those who can't bring their plants indoors, there are other ways to protect them.
Robin-Lee Cronin says that frost blankets are just lightweight pieces of fabric that can keep plants safe from the cold weather. Other employees at the store say covering plants with containers or buckets can also be helpful.
The frost advisory for Friday night and Saturday includes Sussex, Warren, Morris, Somerset, Passaic, Hunterdon and western Bergen counties.
