Police say a man is wanted for endangering the welfare of a child in Brownsville on Sept. 25.

They say a 14-year-old boy got into a black sedan on Lott Avenue. Officials say they believe it may have been an accident.

Police say the suspect asked the teenager if he wanted to be part of a gang and offered him alcohol while patting the teenager's head and leg.

They say the teenager was taken to Newark where he got out of the car.
