Police: Woman wakes up to stranger touching her inside Sunset Park apartment

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man they say snuck into a woman’s bedroom while she was sleeping and started to touch her.
Police say the Sunset Park woman woke up to find the stranger standing over her bed, touching her.
News 12 is told the victim lived in a basement apartment, around the corner from a bodega, where the suspect was caught on camera buying a beer.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday as the 25-year-old victim was sleeping. Police say the man came into her apartment, entered the bedroom and started to touch her groin over her clothing.
News 12 is told the contact caused her to wake up suddenly. That’s when police say the man ran out of the apartment toward 5th Avenue, and the victim called 911.
Police say the victim's apartment door was unlocked.
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the man in the images released to give them a call.
