Police: Woman charged in Copiague crash that seriously injured pedestrian

Police say a woman was arrested after she left the scene of a crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured in Copiague Saturday night.
It happened on 43rd Street near Atlantic Street around 10:30 p.m.
Police say Sagrario Lopez-Escobar was driving when she hit a man walking in the roadway then took off.
The victim was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with serious injuries. His name has not been released.
Lopez-Escobar was arrested at her home shortly after the crash. She's set to be arraigned Sunday.
