A Norwalk man was in court Monday for allegedly threatening a woman with a knife Friday.
Joseph Sander was arraigned on charges of reckless endangerment, threatening and disorderly conduct.
In a separate incident earlier this month, police seized 10 firearms from Sander's home, after he allegedly made violent threats at Stamford Hospital.
Sander is being held on $100,000 bond. The court also ordered him not to own guns and is recommending mental health treatment.
Neighbors say they were startled by the police response Friday morning.
"I'm glad he's not here now," said a neighbor. "It makes me feel safer that he's being taken care of."
