Preparing for winter: Agency urges people to apply for energy assistance

The anti-poverty agency Action for Bridgeport Community Development Inc. (ABCD) is urging people who need energy assistance to apply for financial help now before the colder temperatures arrive.
Executive director Dr. Monette Ferguson says there's only so much money to go around, so make an appointment as quickly as possible.
"These are crucial times for community members because this is the time when the weather is so unpredictable in Connecticut," says Ferguson.
ABCD serves all of Fairfield County with offices in Bridgeport and Norwalk. Anyone who wishes to learn more about energy assistance can visit the ABCD website.
