Inmates graduate from 'Family Works' course at Sing Sing prison

It's graduation day at Sing Sing prison. More than 50 inmates received certificates Wednesday for completing the Family Works parenting and healthy relationship program.
The 16-week course at the maximum security prison in Ossining is designed to connect fathers behind bars with their children and other loved ones.
"Pushing 17 years in prison, so it was just important to me to just you know make the best of a bad situation by accomplishing as many things as I could," says Dontey Middleton, an inmate at Sing Sing. And I mean to rehabilitate myself, to get back out there with my family."
The Family Works program is run by the criminal justice nonprofit 'The Osborne Association." The organization has been running the 16-week program for more than 30 years.
