Dulos case: Tronconis makes court appearance on new evidence tampering charge

Michelle Tronconis made a brief appearance at the Norwalk courthouse Wednesday as she was arraigned on a second evidence tampering charge in connection to the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos.
Tranconis is the girlfriend to Fotis Dulos, Jennifer Dulos’ estranged husband. Both were initially arrested in June after police say security cameras caught them throwing out items in Hartford that came back positive for Jennifer Dulos’ blood.

The new charge centers on the cleaning of a red pickup truck that police believe Fotis Dulos borrowed and used the day his estranged wife was last seen.
Police say they found Jennifer Dulos’ blood inside the truck, despite attempts by the couple to have it cleaned and the seats replaced.

The arrest warrant also shows Troconis admitting she never saw Fotis Dulos on the morning Jennifer Dulos’ disappearance.
Tronconis’ attorney Andrew Bowman had no comment as he and his client left the courthouse.
Tronconis was supposed to be in court Friday in Stamford for a status conference on her initial charges. That's now been pushed to Oct. 10, so the charges are consolidated. She will enter her plea to the second charge on that date.
