A Morris Park restaurant has been serving its family-style Italian dishes in the neighborhood for the last five decades.

Frankie & Johnnie's is a family run business located in Morris Park that was established in 1969 by Frank Bastone's father and uncle, Frankie and Johnnie after moving from Italy to the Unites States.

Fifty years later, the restaurant has expanded its presence in the borough with additional function rooms and catering services while continuing years-old Italian traditions that can be seen and tasted in every meal.

"Consistency and sticking to the tradition that we were taught as things change. And we always have to make sure we're always on top of the game. It's a tough business you have to keep on working hard and keep on reinventing the wheel without changing what was taught to us," says Bastone.

A method this family hopes will help them stick around for another 50 years and more.
